About Deltona
Deltona is the largest city in Volusia County, Florida, with a population of over 95,000 residents. Originally developed in the 1960s by the Mackle Brothers as a planned community, Deltona has grown into a thriving suburban city that serves as the principal city of the Deltona–Daytona Beach–Ormond Beach metropolitan area. The city is known for its abundant natural lakes — including Lake Monroe, which borders the city to the south and connects to the St. Johns River. Deltona offers an affordable cost of living with easy access to both Orlando and Daytona Beach via I-4, making it a popular choice for commuters and families. The city features Lyonia Preserve, a 360-acre nature sanctuary home to the endangered Florida scrub-jay, as well as numerous parks, golf courses, and community recreation facilities.
